The Edge of Life collaboration brings together the fields of forest pathology and art, explores the place they meet, and culminates in a traveling art/science exhibition and a book. The exhibition includes artists from Stephen F. Austin State University’s School of Art and ecological artists. The goal is to share science’s ability to inspire culture through art, present a wide range of innovative approaches to making art, and to educate about the field of forest pathology.

- I received my BFA in fine arts from the Columbus College of Art & Design in Ohio and MFA in printmaking from Indiana University, Bloomington. Currently I am an Assistant Professor of Art and printmaking area coordinator at California State University Northridge.
Assistant Curator, Forest Pathology Specialist
Dr. David Kulhavy, also known as "Dr. Bug", is a Piper Professor of Forest Entomology and Landscape Ecology in the Arthur Temple College of Forestry at Stephen F. Austin State University. Dr. Kulhavy is active in bringing entomology educational programs to elementary and secondary school classrooms.
